Adult Faith Formation and RCIA: Do you want to learn more about your Catholic faith? Join us at our weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 / 9:00 pm beginning on October 9 in one of the meeting rooms. This is also an invitation for those adults who want to join the RCIA in preparation for the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) or for those members of other Churches who are interested in joining the Catholic Church.

We cover the following topics:
1. The main teachings of the Apostles Creed about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Church;
2. The Liturgy and the Sacraments;
3. Moral values and Christian life;
4. Prayer and the spiritual life.
There is plenty of time for questions and discussions. Every question is a good one. This is a faith journey which always includes praying together and sharing our faith with each other.

Bible Study: We will continue our weekly Bible Study sessions on Monday, October 15 at 7:00 pm in the meeting room. This year we continue with the second half of the Acts of the Apostles. Then we will begin to study St. Paul’s Epistles. As Catholics we are always encouraged, especially by Pope Benedict, to know the Bible better. This is a good opportunity for those who are interested.

23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time – September 9: “Did not God choose those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?” (James 2:5). What is more important – being rich in faith or rich in possessions? Society teaches us that possessions are most important. God teaches a different lesson. When we are rich in faith we know that material things really do not matter and we are more willing to share what we have.
