40 DAYS FOR LIFE is a focused Pro-Life campaign during Lent to help bring the end to the tragedy of abortion. This campaign for Life is made up of 3 components:- Prayer & Fasting , Peaceful Vigil ( Outside B.C. Women’s Hospital ) and Community Outreach. It started on February 22nd and goes to April 1st. Advance Care Planning Workshop: Sat. March 24 St. Peter’s. Facilitated by the Catholic Health Association of BC and the Respect Life Office. Workshop begis with Mass at 9:00 am and a continental breakfast. Come & learn the latest tools to help with the planning and care we all want at the end of our lives.

A Day of Discernment – Personal Talents and Christ’s Voice in My Life: The Stewardship Office of the Archdiocese of Vancouver will be presenting a workshop led by Father Elton Fernandes, SJ. This is a follow up to the recent “Called and Gifted” workshop and will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Parish Hall, 315 Walker Street, Coquitlam on Saturday, March 10. Mass at 9 a.m. celebrated by Archbishop J. Michael Miller, followed by workshop till 4 p.m. During the morning session, Father Fernandes will examine some basics of discerning Christ’s voice in our lives and after lunch, more specifically at discerning personal gifts and how Christ is inviting us to use them. Benefit Concert – Harmonies of Hope: The regional and congregational high schools come together annually to fundraise for various worthy causes. Harmonies of Hope featuring the finest high school choirs is scheduled to take place on March 12 – 7 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Parish, Surrey. Admission by donation. All proceeds will go directly to the Philippine typhoon relief through Development and Peace.

Freedom: Make plans to join us for Freedom, the original reconciliation event for youth and young adults offered by the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. It will be on March 16 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Good Shepherd Church in Surrey. Open to high school teens and young adults. All participants will experience first-hand the healing power of Christ through music, prayer, testimonies and teachings, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. For more info, visit
