Catholic Women’s League

The Catholic Women’s League is the largest national organization of catholic women in Canada.  The object of the league is to unite Catholic women of Canada to achieve individual and collective spiritual development and to promote the teachings of the Catholic Church through example, to uphold Christian ideals in home and family life, education and values, to enhance the role of women in the church and society and to contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.

St. Peter’s C.W.L., the oldest league in the lower mainland, has been in existence since February 1923.  General meetings are held the second Thursday of each month in the Hall at 12:30pm.   All women 16 years of age and over are welcome.

Our activities are many;  scholarships for our students for post secondary education, visiting the sick and home bound, maintaining a network of support for our retired and less active members, hosting funeral receptions for deceased members and their families and hosting an annual parish fair.
